England's Wildlife
As with all islands, the natural wildlife tends to suffer more from human encroachment than on larger continental lands.
This has been the case with England where human settlement has lost us bears, wolves, boars, Red deer and many other species.
In just the last hundred years or so, the red squirrel has been decimated by man's introduction of the grey squirrel to this island.
