English Birds
England is home for part of the year to migratory birds who overwinter in the south or spend summer in the artic north.
In addition there are plenty of native species who stay here all year round.

Over recent years there has been a marked decline in some species (noteably the sparrow) while at the same time others have grown in numbers (the Red Kite is now thriving in the Chiltern Hills north west of London following a a reintroduction scheme.)

A great resource for information about british birds is the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds).
