England's Weather
We have a saying in England...
"If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes."
We have a particularly varied climate due to our geography. The great atlantic ocean to our west and the continental eurasian landmass to the east each have their own weather systems. Our islands are right beneath where these two massive weather systems come into contact and generally battle with each other.
A comparatively warm water current in the northern Atlantic Ocean called
The Gulf Stream pushes warmer water towards our islands, giving us wetter,
but much milder winters than our cousins in mainland europe.
Most famously this leads to lots of rain or "good weather for ducks" as we like to say. Rain does not just come in winter but is generally distributed throughout the year.
