Anne

Queen of England 1702AD-1714AD

Queen Anne was the last of the Stuart line. Anne became first sovereign of a united England and Scotland following the Act of Union in 1707.

She married George, Prince of Denmark, and fell pregnant 17 times between 1683 and 1700. Sadly for her only five children were born alive, and only one, a son, outlived infancy.

Anne famously had a very intimate relationship with Sarah Churchill (1660-1744), the first duchess of Marlborough.
