Axminster
Axminster was once home to a Roman fort of about 2.5 Hectares. It was built during the reign of either Neronian or Flavian. The romans would have had a hard march to get this far into the west of England. These days, visitors have an easier time of it, using the A35 to get close to town. Alternatively the train has been running regularly since July 1860.
