Tower Hamlets sounds like a nice quaint area but social deprivation has taken its toll on this once pretty village, now reduced to urban squalor. There are hopeful signs of regeneration, but poverty still abounds here.

It is not that bad Ease up my friend, there is much to enjoy in Tower hamlets if you know where to look. Whitechapel is one of the most popular tourist destinations in London. It is where you see the true city rather than some plastic hollywood version of reality that you get in Westminster. If you want history we have got the Tower of London.
