Just across the River Thames from Bray, upstream of Windsor, the tiny village of Dorney is a gem. Dorney Court is a wonderful early Tudor Manor house that has been the home to 13 generations of the Palmer family for more than 450 years. Open for occasional guided tours on a few days of the year the house is more often seen on television where is is a regular setting for period dramas.
