Eton
Eton grew out of Eton College and the village is still in many ways just an adjunct to the school. very much a good place to visit to watch a place where time does seem to have stood still. Since 1974 the bridge to Windsor has been pedestrian only, adding to the isolation of Eton. Charming antique shops stand alongside art galleries and the perculiar shops supplying the seemingly victorian needs of the schoolboys.
