Bracknell is a modern town with some interesting although not particularly attractive modernist architecture. The meterological centre for the UK is located in this town which does boast an extraorinarily low unemployment rate.

Bracknell Bracknell, a concrete cess pit. Now all but joined via new developments to its new suburbs Wokingham, Ascot and Crowthorne. The place is so bad even the 'Met Office' has moved out. Most of the industry has gone to be replaced with new office blocks which remain empty forever. The town centre is about to be redeveloped, 2008 and replaced with a new line in concrete. Housing the same shops but in a different order. Some kind planner decided to run the M$ to M3 link right through the centre, instead of bypassing the town. Its all a traffic nightmare. Thats all the good things covered, I won't run it down with the bad, as I have to live here, for the present Ray |
